Anne - Speaking of good eats reads, I'd love to recommend Bill Buford's HEAT, it is absolutely and unequivocally outstanding… I have also enjoyed Michael Ruhlman's THE SOUL OF A CHEF and THE REACH OF A CHEF -- very interesting and well written. Anthony Bourdain is probably an acquired taste, but his KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL fascinated me. Jamie Oliver's JAMIE'S ITALY is more of a cookbook, but there are great stories in there too. And speaking of cookbooks, if I could only own two cookbooks they would be ITALIAN EASY and ITALIAN TWO EASY by Rose Gray and Ruth Rogers -- amazing recipes and stunningly simple presentations!

Anne, I share your addiction. I got a lot of SCF tomatoes last week, coupled with a boatload from moonshadow's cabin garden, and made some awesome sauce... started too late at 4pm, though!

I put shiitakes, garlic, onions, rosemary and basil in the sauce, and ended up with juice, soup, spaghetti sauce, pizza sauce and brushcetta paste. YUM!

Okay, for those of you who are planning on having those savory pork chops, I left off one important step. When you bake them, COVER them first to keep in all that juicy goodness. Enjoy!

Anne-

I loved reading about your wonderful creations from food you buy locally or grow at the farm. Todd and I have missed visiting you and your family at the farm. I was wondering if you had the recipe for your heavenly rosemary cake we had at a summer solstice a few years ago. If so, I'd love to have it.

Here's to Mother Earth and the foods she so lovinginly provides for our enjoyment!

can't wait to try my home grown arugula & other lettuces from my own garden. Meanwhile we are looking forward to getting some of that delicious Seq Farm sausage that my son loves this Saturday. Hope to also get some bacon if you have any left. See you at the Farm Sat. 6/6...

Am enjoying our produce box. Have shared with our neice a small quantity of the food, but this family of two is about to be green (and that's not such a bad thing). I reluctantly shared the garlic scapes with her so that thet would have the taste experience. Cooked my beet greens and am now thinking that beautiful red liquid will do so much for a pasta dish ( and another mix of lettuces). Guess we'll soon be overweight as I seem to desire cooking/eating experiences to exercise! This is really a thanks for all the wonderful food we are enjoying.
