Join Tyler Rogers for a 1-day woodworking workshop. Each student will learn some basic chair-making techniques while building a 3-leg wooden footstool using mostly hand tools.

Welcome in the fall equinox while creating a daily use heirloom! Binding together local broomcorn from Sequatchie Cove and a hand carved broom handle from Tennessee Chairmaker Tyler Rogers, you’ll feel the connection to the materials used for generations.

Join botanist Cooper Breeden on a jaunt through the woods to learn about the plants that call the Sequatchie Valley home and the stories they tell us. The primary focus of the class will be the identification of woody plants (trees, shrubs, and vines).

Learn the basics of Tiffany method stained glass techniques to make a 3 dimensional glass star, perfect to celebrate the holidays or to give as a most welcomed present.

We will learn fun community dances from around the world such as clapping dances from Russia & Germany and group dances from Scotland & Denmark along with Folk dances from the Appalachian region.

This cookery class will focus on how to make rough puff pastry and use laminated dough to create beautiful, rustic galettes with seasonal fruit and vegetables.
