Farm to Crag - climbing, dining, farming, education, and FUN!

(arrive at the farm to set up camp between noon - 2pm on the 14th; depart the farm the afternoon of the 16th) Central Time Zone

WHERE: Sequatchie Cove Farm, Chattanooga, Tennessee

HOW: Register at farmtocrag.org/chattanooga-gathering-application (spots are limited, apply early!)

COST: $200 - $800 (work-trade, day passes, and scholarships are also available)

We’re looking for climber advocates who want to:

  • Learn more about regenerative agriculture and how soil health has the potential to reverse human-led climate change.  

  • Learn about nutrition and fermentation, community supported farming, and how to use policy to advocate for change.

  • Connect and build community with other climbers who are passionate about transforming our food system and confronting the climate crisis.

  • Learn more about Farm To Crag, and how you can get engaged in bringing climbers and farmers together in your community to make change with your fork, your wallet, and your voice.

Event Highlights:

  • Farm-to-Table meals featuring local regenerative producers

  • Workshops on local traditional food, nutrition, seasonal recipes, and soil science

  • Climbing at Foster Falls and beyond

  • Farm tour + work projects

  • Morning yoga

  • Farm-based camping

Who this is for / Eligibility:

We are looking for people who want to build a community around local, organic, sustainable farming and food in their climbing communities. You do not need to be an experienced farmer or gardener, nor a V12 boulderer, we are all learning together.

What Farm To Crag will provide:

  • Meals: all included from dinner on Friday, October 14th through lunch on Sunday, October 16th (day passes only include lunch and dinner on Saturday)

  • Camping: A camping spot for you to set up a tent or van/truck (no electrical, access to water but no hook-ups) (no RVs please)

  • Potable water (no hook-ups)

  • Port-a-Potty bathrooms

  • Education, inspiration, fun!!

What you are expected to provide/cover:

  • Plate, bowl, cup or mug + utensils

  • Camping + bedding

  • Personal climbing equipment (harness, shoes, helmet)

  • Outdoor clothing layers (for variable fall weather in the southeast - from t-shirt to rainwear and warm layers) including farm work wear and climbing/yoga

  • Travel to/from Sequatchie Cove Farm (we will connect you with other attendees to carpool if desired)

  • Cutting board and knife for workshops

    (if you cannot provide some of these items, please note this below and we will try to accommodate your requests)
