Our Approach to Sustainable Pork

Sequatchie Cove Farm proudly raises a diverse range of heritage breeds, including Gloucestershire Old Spots, Mulefoot, Large Black, and Red Wattle pigs. By keeping production on a small scale of around ten pigs per year, we prioritize both the well-being of our land and the exceptional quality of our pork.

Rooted in Tradition, Raised for Exceptional Flavor

Pasture, Woods,
& Organic Feed

Our pigs enjoy a varied diet of pasture grasses, foraged nuts like acorns, hickory, and walnuts, along with treats of cracked eggs and seasonal persimmons. We supplement their natural foraging with 100% certified organic feed, containing soy and corn, to provide balanced nutrition for healthy, flavorful pork.

Caring for the Land, Honoring the Animal

With only 90 acres of pasture, we focus on small-scale, respectful animal husbandry, letting pigs roam freely in pasture and woodland areas under open skies. Every pig is hand-tended, reflecting our dedication to humane farming, ensuring they experience fresh air, sunshine, and the opportunity to forage and thrive naturally.
